  11. The about box art was drawn using Fractal Design's Painter; a great drawing program with a weird user interface.

Each icon was turned into a floater and put into a floater library, then the background was filled and textured using the "eggified" paper texture. The floaters were positioned strategically, and the brown background text was drawn by using the text mask tool with the Hoefler Text font, and filling the mask.

  15. Next, the foreground text was drawn in a separate window using the Skia font. Dye Concentration was adjusted to give it the mottled look. The text was then copied as a floater and pasted over the background image using the Gel composit method.

  17. Last, all floaters were dropped, and the image was converted to the 4-bit palette PICT resource used in the application using another tool.
